The Recipes tab holds your whole library. Every recipe you save lands here, and this is where you go to find one again, whether you have a dozen recipes or a few hundred. This guide covers the tools that help you get to the right one fast.
Tap the search field at the top of the Recipes tab and start typing. Search matches on recipe titles and on tags, so you can look up "focaccia" or pull up everything you tagged "weeknight" without scrolling. The list narrows as you type.
The Recipes tab has two views, and you can toggle between them:
Use the Recipes view when you want to search across everything, and the Cookbooks view when you already know which collection a recipe lives in. For more on collections, see Cookbooks.
Change the order recipes appear in with the sort control. You can sort by:
Filters narrow the list down to a subset of your library. You can filter by:
Filters stack with search and sorting, so you can, for example, filter to a category, then sort those by Fastest. To learn how tags, categories, and favorites work, see Tags, categories, and favorites.
Switch between two layouts depending on how you like to browse:
Pick whichever feels right. The choice is just about how the library looks to you.
Your library lives in the cloud so it stays the same across your devices. Pull down on the Recipes tab to sync the latest, which is handy if you saved something on another device or want to make sure you are seeing the newest version. Most of the time syncing happens on its own, so this is there for when you want to force a refresh.
Search when you know a word from the title or a tag. Filter when you want a whole group, like every dessert or every favorite. Sort when you want the same recipes in a more useful order. You can layer all three at once.
